The children have loved creating a jungle in the playroom. They helped create the jungle world they wanted using crepe paper, camo nets and other materials. It was lovely seeing them work together to make decisions and solve problems.

It has led to animal explorations, clay work, amazing stories and lots of role play. We have also taken our jungle theme into the woods to carry on our jungle safari. We also read the Gingerbread Man and then the children imagined that it took place in jungle. They changed the characters, setting and rhyming words to make the story work. It was mazing to see so much learning taking place. Our younger jungle explorers have been exploring a treasure basket of different plants and plastic jungle animals, making jungle music with our instruments, singing jungle themed songs and having a great time making animal noises. We can't wait to see what the children choose to learn about next.
