Soar Childcare - Marion Walker
I have a purpose built playroom that we decorate and set up with activities and themes for topics the children are interested in. If you click on the pictures it will tell you a bit about them.
Our Home

We set up different invitations to play that follow the children's interests, seasons or themes. For example, we set up a Frozen small world play as we are going to see the show.

We always have a variety of dressing up clothes that we change to follow seasons, holidays and children's interests.

We offer a variety of mark making opportunities to help children develop their creativity and get ready for writing.

We set up a variety of activities to help the children develop their skills and most importantly to have fun.

We always have a loose parts trolley for children to choose and use in a variety of different ways. they have become towers, food for the play kitchen, bridges and much more.

We have lots of opportunities for creativity and enjoy hanging up our work to share with our friends.

We explored an owl pellet and set up a bird watching station to see what the birds were up to in the winter.

We all eat together at the table so we can enjoy healthy, delicious food, chat with our friends and practice using our cutlery.

We have story times each day where we share books, stories and puppet shows.

We have a calm, relaxing playroom with a variety of toys and experiences to help us develop our interests.

We learn about our emotions and how to self regulate using songs, puppets, Lego and stories.

We make different role play areas to explore new places, imaginary scenes or interesting jobs.

We have a large dedicated garden. Here is our reading shed where we share stories and songs outside.

We have a large garden that we are developing to make lots of learning and play areas for the children. We change these around to meet the needs of the children.
