Pirates have Invaded Soar Childcare

Pirates invaded the playroom at Soar Childcare in Bishops Stortford run by Marion and Graeme Walker. Children arrived to find a giant pirate ship complete with ships wheel, anchor and rigging as well as an island with buries treasure. They have made maps, gone on a treasure hunt, sunk pirate ships, dressed in costumes and had a wonderful time. In the garden, we had to fish treasure out of the pond, engage in pirate activities with our small world pirate play, and build a giant pirate ship out of supplies we found round the garden. It has been a wonderful time full of learning and fun. Marion and Graeme even had to walk the plank.
